I'm sure you have done what I am bout to say...
Is the chamber squeaky clean ?
Feeding it from a magazine or single ?
Again, just a couple of obvious places to start and am no expert here on what I sure is a very nice .22.

It is extracting, but not ejecting?
Is the case falling off the bolt face before the ejector can kick it out of the rifle?

Hey Rob , thanks for your input , clean , clean , clean that's all I've been dong , but no luck .Yeah it's a beautiful gun that's why it's so frustrating

Thanks for your reply . It won't extract the shell from the chamber , therefore obviously it can't be ejected . I have changed the extractor and ejector , but no luck

According to the schematic, there are two extractors, left and right? Both replaced? Extractor seats clean? Chamber clean? Breech of barrel clean?
Extractor springs strong?

With the bolt out, will the extractors firmly grip a case on the bolt face?

From the schematic the extractors look to be different. Do you have them on the correct side? And do they have 'clean points'?

The left extractor will likely be a "positioning" extractor which keeps the rim firmly against the right hand extractor which will have a real hook to it. When the case head contacts the ejector, it will slip out from under the left extractor and pivot around the right hand one.

just tweaked a used 22 I picked up a year ago....it was having extraction issues....the extractor was put in backwards...

My 52 will not eject an unfired round as they have tight chambers that engage the rifling, making it difficult for the extractor to remove the cartridge without deforming the soft brass rim.
Never had a problem removing fired rounds.
Same problems with different brands of ammo?

Not extracting . So no chance of ejecting . When the bolt is out , the shell fits the bolt face , which I believe is correctly . I've been hoping for some kind of bolt ajustment that I'm missing ???

Thanks for the input . Both have been replaced. The extractor is on the left the ejector is on the right . The extractor does hold the casing head when the bolt is out of the gun ,,
Every thing cleaned checked and double checked ..

The bolt has two extractors, left and right. Each of these has a spring.
Neither of these is the ejector. The extractors extract the casing from the chamber and hold it to the bolt face while the bolt is opened. The ejector then contacts the base of the case and ejects it from the rifle. The ejector is a nub on the bolt guide.

If cases or cartridges are being left in the chamber, you have an extraction problem, not an ejection problem.

That's the strange thing . Not extracting or ejecting the spent round developed over time . At one point it was okay , but still would not eject alive round

than it should work
while the bolt is out stand the rifle up with the chamber up, drop a shell in the chamber, it should drop in all the way, and should drop out when you invert the gun, or with out any force, depending on how tight the chamber is.
I see many 22's with what looks like a clean chamber , that has grease , carbon build up, and the shell will stick in the chamber.
Will drop in part way , them get stuck, and the bolt forces it in and you end up with your problem.
Different ammo can give trouble as well, try something else, You may have tried that , forget if you said or not.

I have everything in place , but the extractor will not pickup the rim of the cartridge when it's in the chamber .. Everything is clean checked and double checked ..It definitely is perplexing . Extractor and ejector hold the casing firm against the bolt face when bolt is out of the rifle .. Thanks for you input
