It's a good thing that I didn't come across that deal on the T-3,I don't need another varmint gun,but I likely would have bought one anyways.:D

Nice guns. I grabbed one also on sale jan 31st still don't know why maybe because I never owned a 7mm-08 before.
It is just a cheep marlin xs7 but I got it for $350.00 total brand new so could not leave it behind for that price. I thought that was a good deal maybe not??

Good buy on the Tikka, i picked one up last spring in 204. Much better for a walking gun than the heavy barreled Rem i had. Not quite as accurate tho.

Inexpensive,Yes, cheap, No. I have one in 30-06 and its a very accurate rifle, and many others here have one and I have yet to hear a bad comment. They have a nice adjustable trigger, a great recoil pad, and are well balanced. Would have bought one myself at that price, you will enjoy this rifle.

You are right . My apologies I should not have used the word cheap . Not as expensive as some rifles I own would have been better.
I have a stevens 200 in 223 and a savage inexpensive in 270 both of which are very accurate. This is my first newer Marlin however.

Good deal. Usually the Gun Centre is so overpriced, I leave the store laughing. I am surprised that you paid for what you did on those guns.

Last year I was price shopping a Savage Weather Warrior rifle in .300win mag and just for poops and giggles, I went in there on my way home from work. They wanted $400 more than Ellwood Epps for the exact same model number gun. Ellwood Epps does have the best price for Savage I have found anywere, but they should'nt be undercutting other stores by $400. They undercut a few other places by $100-$200 on the same gun, but I honestly laughed out loud when the guy at the Gen Centre told me the price. I got him to double check the model number, because I told him there was no way that is right. Same price, but things have obviously changed.

I liked the store better when old man lovetts ran the joint. By the look at the price that you paid for your rifles, the prices have came back down to earth. Maybe I will check them out this week.

There regular prices are way too much but a 40% off boxing day sale hard to beat.

Epps has Tikka T3 lites on for $630 right now. Not a bad price at all.

I totally agree. When old man Lovette ran the place it was one of the finest gun stores in the province. They had everything in stock. The new store is kind of a joke. I was looking at a Leupold Mark 4 scope a while ago and they quoted me a price which was almost $500.00 more than what Wolverine quoted me. I guess they don't realize that smart consumers use the internet now to price out stuff. Needless to say, I don't bother going in there anymore.
