Hey all, I am 18 years old and am a proud serving member of the Royal Canadian Artillery (Reserves). Recently I did all of my civilian safety courses because I enjoy shooting so much while at work, that I wanted to shoot recreationally. I just got my safety course test results in the mail and will be sending out my PAL application within the next few days. I can't wait to get my handgun and start shooting!

You guys just got one more body devoted to the preservation of our firearms rights (whats left of it that is). I'll be joining the NFA soon and will be participating in the fight as much as I can. The main reason I actually joined this site was to educate myself on the standings of the political parties regarding firearms. Being a young adult, I don't really know what each party is about yet because politics were a big yawn for me when I was younger, haha.

Anyways, this is just my way of saying hello. See you on the forums!
 
Welcome to CGN, there is so much good information on this site. I am retired military getting back into the sport after a long layoff. Main thing I would stress to you is be safe out there, follow all the rules and you will have so much fun. In the mid of winter it will be on your mind, something to look forward to. Life is run by those who show up.

Around here, the one federal party that seems to share our mutual interests is the Conservative Party of Canada. Yes they frequently annoy us. But the alternatives are considerably less aware of us, our votes and our sport.

if your looking for a civilian range close to Ottawa, you can always come a see us at the Danford Lake gun club.
