Solution to fake Norc NZ Flash Suppressor

I may not be able to do the Buzzballer technique- apparently it is too close to a military style "flash suppressor". I think I will go back to my original idea of cutting it to resemble an AK slant "muzzle break"- that would be technically legal because it is a "muzzle break" and not a "flash suppressor".

Just don't let it get clogged with zombie gore ;-)

Clogged with Gore?

Oh oh !!!!!!!!!!!!! Somebodies gonna be gettin a visit from the men in black, can you hear the helicopters yet ?

Nicely done tho :)

So I cut the fake suppressor back, leaving .55 of an inch as a muzzle protector- no zombie spikes on it yet. Feels better to carry around with the 2 inches or so gone, what is stunning is how much my point of impact has changed. I had the rear sight set at 100m and WAS shooting about 2 inches above point of aim at 80m. I am now shooting about 16 INCHES HIGH AT 70m!!! Still groups very tight, two shot groups at just over an inch apart but I think I need to scope this beast as the front sight is just too short. I have no idea how this could have happenned; did the vibrations of cutting off (used a cutting wheel on my grinder) the suppressor magically chage something? Luckily the accuracy is still there, but I can't adjust the sights any lower. At least I'm zeroed for something like 750m..........

Turns out I can adjust the rear sight lower, there was a small ridge on the rear sight that prevented it going lower. So I filed that bit off and soaked all the crazy tight windage/elevation with Slip2000. Now I have to re-zero, but I'm picking I can delay sending Frank @ M14.Ca more money for a scope mount until after xmas. I wonder if the ridge was meant to be there? Don't matter at all, 'cause it's gone now. Once I'm happy with my POA around 1-2 inches high at a 100m I won't be changing the adjustments. There is no better feeling than taking an angle grinder to your MBR....and having it still shoot tight groups!
