Thanks. That 's what I thought. Now to contact my know it all buddy to confirm what the FACT is. Just want to put his mind at ease. LOL.

In the future, remember that it is always easier to prove that something IS in the law, vs something is NOT, in the law, and that things not mentioned in law, are legal by default.

TO prove something IS written in law, you need only find that specific section of law that mentions it, and confirm it is still valid and in force. Google is great for this.

TO prove something ISN'T written in law, you need to consult the entire body of Canadian law, and even when you don't find it, you could still have doubts. And google won't really help you.

Next time someone claims something is illegal, tell them the onus is on them to prove it: Not to be argumentative, but because it is far easier to prove that claim is true, than to disprove it by proving the opposite.
