I use my BBQ lighter to point a fine flame at the screw. Works quickly.

Would anyone have any ideas on scope mount screws loktited in with broken off heads?Yes- in the top of the barrel.I'm guessing the BBQ lighter and a small easy-out.

I once had a similar problem: rusted 100-year-old screw broken off in the action. I snapped a hack-saw blade in two and used one of the pointy ends to scratch out a slot. Patience is definitely an asset! After that I let it soak in penetrating oil for a couple of days. It came out relatively easily after all that.

WOW, everyone must have Loctite problems! I must be missing something in my shop, I just turn the screws and they come out, wow again!
