Yes ,that's for sure .All ammunition with Bismuth or TSS is going through the roof.I doubt there is a lot of the Kent 28 gauge 3 inch Bismuth being manufactured, so I am a bit surprised ,that any is available in Canada at any price.:)
 
I have been shooting crows with a Iside 3" 28 gauge with plated lead #6 and a lot of choke this load has put some grunt into the 28. Loading some steel #4 to pattern and if good to use for jump shooting wood ducks in our bushlot ponds this fall. So far the 3" results have been positive for me.. No $92 a box bismuth in my future.

I am afraid, that any one buying Bismuth or TSS in any gauge this fall ,when the new stock hits the stores, are going to be in for a very big surprise and not a good one.:(

Winchester is already starting to put their Bismuth shells in boxes of 15 instead of 25,to try to make the cost more palatable .

It is not only ammo this fine land of ours is in deep :poop: Everything price wise is going up and all products are being downsized.

Can anyone report on its performance yet?
I have a Benelli Ethos and have only been able to get a few boxes of Hevi Shot 3" loads (#4 and 6) to try in it. Haven't tried them yet (to pattern or on birds).

So far 2 3/4" works on the grouse I have been shooting...but would like a heavier load for ducks or geese on some of the backroad borrow pit ponds where I hunt, or the odd sandhill crane we see out there too.
The 2 3/4" 7.5 load took 2 shots to finish a mallard at 32 yards last fall. (First duck I have ever shot, so no experience to compare it to. But it could have just been I didn't it it well with the first shot.)
 
Here is a link to a 28 gauge 3 inch 1 1/16 ounce hand load.I would expect the factory load to be much the same.

I would think that 28 gauge 7 1/2 ,2 3/4 inch Bismuth would be pushing it at 32 yards on ducks.:)

Is your Hevi Shot Tungsten or Bismuth?I would think that Bismuth # 4 or Tungsten # 6, would work well on ducks,

 
I generally don"t like most U tube loading videos to much yak not any usefull data or content. But other than the yak this one is better than some but not much info to really learn anything .

I was just using this video to try to answer BlackRam, about what a 28 gauge 3 inch Kent Bismuth pattern would look like,if used on ducks.This a hand load I know,but I would assume the pattern would be much the same ,as the Kent 3 inch..He does show 40 yards patterns.

Bullet225ho has a lot of great hand loads.To get the power charges you can send $5.00 for one load or $25.00 gets them all.The $25.00 is a good deal in my opinion.:)

7.5 bismuth is light for mallards at 30 yards. More to 5 or 6s for bismuth. 3 or 4 for steel
