Some ammo by ferderal only available in certain countries ??

Have my eye on a federal 22-250 premium in 52gr speer hp code FAU22250S
But can only find info on it in Australia. Do big companies make certain ammo and only distribute in specific countries or would it be available globally??
 
Hornady has their "Custom" rounds for the USA and " International Custom" for sale outside the USA. I think per the ballistic charts the rounds are the same per calibre.

Not sure if they make rounds specific for Australia but maybe they do... possible law differences down there?
 
Talked to federal, they made this ammo soley for Nioa in Australia ... such a shame. Would be a great round.

I am in talks with Nioa.. who knows maybe I can get some shipped if they still have it.

Why is it almost every time I find something I want it is either out of production or unavailable.

Best 338 win ammo I have ever used was the federal premium high energy 225 tbbc and that was discontinued too !!

Why not start reloading. You can have almost any combo you want that way.

Cause the grass is greener on the other side of the fence and this case in the Down Under continent.
I was looking for a certain brand of ammo from PMC many years ago .
It was in 300 WM and was branded as Eldorado with Barnes X Bullets 180grn.
It shot fantastic in my A-Bolt II and could only find it at Kesselrings in Wa State.
Cheap at $20.00 a box, tried to locate it hear and found it was available in Ontario and shipping was a logistical issue back then.
I eventually went with Federal Ammo and Nosler Bullets.

Find a buddy that reloads. Take him your empty cases (you saved them, right?) and buy a box of 52 gr Speer bullets and load the cases.
