If you can't afford to do it right, then you can't afford to do it.

I wouldn't put it on my battle rifle, but for an occasional use at the range it will do. Magnifier shouldn't cost 600+ in the first place.

I've seen 'em run fine on CZ 858's and I've seen 'em die on .22s on the first round, so I guess it's a crap shoot.

What is being stolen? Its half a pair of binoculars, not exactly cutting edge technology. Sure they look like Aimpoint's product but there is nothing proprietary about a monocular. I'm all for buying the original and not Asain made stuff, but as id64 posted, a magnifiger shouldn't cost $600. For the range trips and fun it should do just fine.

There are no open patents. Nothing is being stolen. The only thing wrong with Norinco is that its profits go to the PLA.

In general, yes, but I'd bet Norgon is not happy their ambi-mag release has been stolen by Norinco - it is still under patent in several countries where Norinco is sold (like Canada, for instance).

I would feel a lot better about these airsoft knock offs if they were fully licensed so manufacturers like aimpoint would get paid for the use of their trade marks, likeness and that the word "airsoft" be cast into the bottom of these things to help prevent people getting ripped off thinking their real.

I say save up your money and buy the real thing from a dealer in CANADA. If you try not to think about how much money you just spent it will give you a warm and fuzzy feeling all over
