the little cammo at gun is a finnish capture (soviet)45 mm at gun, the guy behind it is ith the group that is out of the pic to the right ( the germans). the turret is an m 48 and the 90mm gun is laying on the ground next to it. mike the owner of all of this kit is a major in the canadian artillary and knows his stuff quite well. the rest of the items you dear sir are quite correct on. the 45 mm at guns , i believe 10 were imported are for sale for 5000 each last time i talked to him and the m48 turret is up for trades if interested.

Ahh I did a little digging

45mm PstK/32/38/sov

The 45 mm AT gun, in whatever form, was a development of the German Pak 36. It was developed in the early 1930s with the first examples coming into service with the Soviet Army around 1934. The major difference between the Pak 36 and the Soviet version was the larger caliber. Aside from that, the differences were negligible. The Finns captured 125 of these guns in the Winter War and immediately pressed them into service. The Finns liked the 45mm gun and considered it very effective, but crudely built. After some losses the Finns emerged from the Winter War with 93 in service. During the first months of the Continuation War, almost 400 45mm guns were captured and incorporated into the Army with a peak of 670 in Finnish Army service in 1943. These guns continued to serve in the War as the 37mm Bofors and Pak36 were withdrawn from service and suffered heavy losses in the final Soviet Offensive in June 1944.

Looking at my book the Amtrac is a unarmoured LVT 1 a likely rare find in such condition!

I miss my M113. I wish I could find one. Oh yeah... and afford it.

The M113 fleet did yeoman service for us. They were automotively very sound and were rebuilt many times over. I remember when the first ones arrived by train at Camp Borden in the summer of 1965. They went to the Armoured Corps School where driver training was initially run for the Infantry.

owning a tank is not illeagal, but finding one for sale in canada is pretty tough. klunk if you want pm me and ill give you the owners name and email and you can ask him if he has any of those at guns left. ive asked my wife if i can buy one but she keeps telling me " what will the neighbours think! "
as far as the m113's alot were converted into tlavs. a insert of 1 meter and have the old griz turret put on it. here in gagetown there are ( i was told ) about 5 people qualified on the turret, minus us techs of course.

I was working on that 90 mil AA last night, the barrel doesnt wan to go all the way down. Mike will never sell you any of his kit ever, so dont try. The quad Paulsten 20mm is almost operational, still a bit more work to do on it, and the Bofors can be elevated and rotated by a little kid. We had it out at a reenactment at Chrysler Farm back in July. Its all fun stuff to look at and operate for sure.

Hey,

I know where this is! I stumbled across this place about 6 months, I must have spent a good hour or more wondering threw the lot. Never was able to contact the owner however, my friend is a mechanic wanted to contact him to do volunteer work after we checked it out. If you could send me the contact info that would be great, I also have some pictures from here!

Those 45mm russian things for 5K.
Can I fire them?

If so you may have another buyer.

I know that re-enactors often rig artillery pieces and tank cannons to go bang. I believe that they often use propane for this purpose and maybe pyrotechnics. Not sure what the legalities would be on firing live rounds, but I highly doubt that it is allowed.
