Some Beretta M9.92FS questions.

I was hung up on the straight cover. Once I had the Italian one in hand I really didn't care for the straight cover. Frankly I think the slant is more representative of Italian design and follows the curves of the rest of the gun.

WOW that stainless italian Pietro is FLAWLESSLY Beautuful....WOW:eek:

Well I finally tracked down a dealer who stocks the M9, Wolverine Supply has them for around $850. its a little more then some of the other dealers, but I would be willing to pay it for the M9.

Now I have a decision to make. I want the M9 because I prefer the looks, but the Italian 92FS has the "original" aspect to it.

Are their any quality differences that would help me make up my mind? I know Beretta and Beretta USA are both excellent manufacturers, but really I am just looking for something to sway my decision lol.

Get the USA made M9, it would be the right one to get for the M9 designation, I do not believe the Italian plant makes any M9s after they set up the factory in Maryland.

As for differences in quality, I do not have both, but I heard they are on par. However the newer ones come with plastic triggers and guide rods I was told?

Guide rods yes, triggers no.

Could be a black vs. inox feature. I don't have a black one to compare, but the trigger on the new inox' are indeed metal.
Well mine was Inox as well. was yours metal but black? or do you have one of the older all (accents) inox guns?

To hell with it, I will just get both:D. I figure I will get the M9 first, then wait for the 92FS to come on sale.

But I believe that the 92FS style pistols come in phases. For a while all the dealers will have M9's, then 92FS, then M9's again. So I will see what happens around June.

I am enjoying the pics, but it makes me angry that I don't have enough cash to get one NOW:p.

my buddy just bought a 92 fs made in italy, its sweet shoots excellent, and funny story, u no the differences better then i do, but it is a 92fs and in the canadian fire arms registry its called the m9, i thought they were identical, but interesting, good choice, i sold him his for $849.99

I decided that in a few months when I start work the first firearm I will buy in 2010 will be a Beretta M9. Problem is that all the dealers I asked only stock the 92FS style. I know they are identical internally but I prefer the look of the straight dust cover on the M9.

Also, just in case I can't find one, my second choice is an Italian made 92FS. Does anyone have Pictures on the new Italian made ones? The pics I have seen look a little odd with the slanted cover and I would like some more views to help me judge.

Thanks.

That is incorrect, a 92FS is listed as exactly what it is, a 92FS - not an M9.

If I misunderstood your terrible grammar, please correct me.
