Are the best. I went for pheasants this morning in beautiful crisp weather with a light breeze and a bit of snow on the ground. I got down at 9 and had 3 rosters by 9:20 with the bois being picture perfect. Chip found the first rooster buried deep in some grass he held till I stepped on his tail feathers and heaven to be I knocked him down and old boy brought him to me a, 20 seconds later Bug's on point and sure enough another bird and another knocked down and found. We were headed back to the truck when Bug ran across a small ditch and locked up again with Chip backing and miracle of miracles I hit this one also with Chip doing the retrieve and Bug following anxiously beside him. On the way home I bought them a bag of treats which they almost instantly converted into noxious gas. A great but too short a day

That was easy ;)
Congrats on the tripple on such a gorgeous day and thanks for sharing.
I do apologize if this is a stupid question, but are these wild birds?
Never have had them hold that close here in the local fields of Richmond or Delta.
Thanks ,
Rob

These are wild birds, sometimes after a snow they will hold very tight especially if the cover is very thick like it was in the area I was hunting,3 foot grass and 6 ft cattails. This is the first time in many years that all the stars line up so well.

Arlo's dad had to work , maybe Saturday we'll all go out again, perhaps Chips girlfriend Riley (She's 12 and Chips 13) will come as well.
