Went out yesterday, she was a beautiful day. No wind for a change, sunny @ -20 First stand, called in five - that was a first - only bagged one yote - certainly have room for improvement!! I shot this one @ ~ 325 yrds using a 35gr. berger in .204 This yote gave one yelp, 3 strides, there was not a 4rth. Upon inspection his chest cavity was mush!!
Last week end called in these two foxes - first one was hanging out @ 400 yrds - could not get him in more - waiting for a complete broad shot - dialed in my turret for 400 yrds - lucky shot as it found his head. The second (which I had not seen originally) started running away after the shot - I was able to call him in to ~ 280 yrds using my foxpro - rabbit in distress call. Dialed in scope for 300 yrds and got a heart shot on him. Both went down in their tracks - this rifle amazes me when I actually hit something.
This calling thing is new for me, just started last year - have lots to learn! One thing is for sure it is a very exciting - the longer it takes to call them in the harder it is to stay steady.
