There were sure some great milsurps at the Kamloops Gun show this weekend. Quite a few decent Mausers, Mosins, Enfields, FN 49s, Garands, Rolling Blocks, Arisakas' and even a few French weapons. There was a particular lack of bayonets though of any real quality. As usual, several fellows had prices on used firearms priced higher than list in the Wholesale Sports catalogue, I guess they think that people that come to gun show don't look there. I missed out on an all matching Mosin dated 1900 with its original barrel, I didn't think that the fellow behind me was interested in it while I was dealin on a pristine Spanish mauser (308 cetme) that was missing a bolt. Oh well, that was OK because I found a Czhek Mauser with all matching #s, with remnants of wrapping paper and still in the grease with "rampant lion" crest that I needed the money for. Also picke up a No1 MkIII* 1917 BSA ftr'd in 1953 and absolutely mint throughout as well. Damn fine weekend. :D bearhunter

All of those must have been gone by the time I got to the show at 1pm on Saturday. I saw some decent milsurps but man did I see some overpriced stuff. One guy wanted $400 for a decent looking mosin bubba but still....$400!! . Of course with my purchase the CFC demons came up to bite me in the a## again. Nothing like being told that the registration will take a few more days to go through on a Sunday

You're right Otsoa, there was a lot of overpriced stuff there. A lot of the sellers were just in Kamloops to pick up stuff to take to Dawson nest weekend. There's lots of money there right now and people are willing to pay the extra instead of waiting for an order. As far as the milsurp stuff goes, most but not all of the good stuff was gone by 11am on the first day. I picked up the Czhek mauser later though, right around 4:30pm. bearhunter
