Some Great New Hunting Rifles - With A Poll!

We got two new items into the store that we've never seen before and their arrival started quite the debate here over which was the coolest! On the one hand, we have some long-action diehards in the building who are absolutely in love with a stainless, ported Kimber rifle coming in well under 5.5lbs in .270 Winchester. The retail store crew is fond of this one! On the other hand, the other half of us here at the online store believe .308 Winchester is a great choice for nearly any general use and the absolutely amazing set trigger on the Steyr makes for a clear winner in our minds.

The only logical answer? Get CGN in on the debate. Help us decide once and for all which of our new hunting rifles is the best!

The Kimber is no match for a Steyr Mannlicher product... Prohunter all the way and 308 caliber just put the last nail in the Kimber coffin... JP.

I had a prohunter in .300 win mag a while back. Loved it!!!!!!!!!! It was an absolute joy to shoot and it was like a laser beam out to 300 yards. I didn't get a chance to stretch it out past that... my buddy drove me crazy to sell it to him, so I gave in.

One of the most inacurate rifle i bought was a 84L in 243, i own 7 Steyr Mannlicher and they are all extremely accurate... I wont get caught buying another Kimber product... JP. PS: that 84L is now a farm rifle sold for a very low price ...

Steyr for sure . Wish Kimber made lefty rifles again though esp the 22LR bolt rifles.

Both ... why not both? ... if I had to choose, I would go with the Kimber :/ on the other hand, I don't have a 308 yet

For me it's definitely the Kimber in that camo stock. The Steyr in that configuration just looks too much like your entry level Axis, 783 or American. Not to say those aren't good rifle's though, just something that price I would want a more unique look to so guys knew how much money I actually spent

If I care about looks, I'll go for a wood stock. Otherwise, it's all about how it shoots and the calibres I like.. Steyr FTW.

ditch the muzzle brake , and chamber it in 284win and the kimber wins hands down .

why oh why can't the Kimber be a .308? It would be a half pound lighter if it was. Really, though, does anyone shoot .270 these days?

Love the stainless but prefer the .308 in caliber, I have to go with the online crew's opinion. +1 for Steyr

I'm interested to see how a Kimber would hold up to a proof test; I'd vote once I saw high speed video of that.
