It used to not be free here I can remember growing up during the AWB and because of that I like guns that are hicap.

Also while we might have high capacity and short barrels on pistols we can't import certain guns that don't have a percentage of US parts, have guns shipped to our house(have to use a licenced dealer), buy open bolt stenguns, or get rifles and shotguns with short barrels as easily as you can(not sure about the last one correct me if I'm wrong.)

also, while much of our firearms act is rediculous, atleast they're nation wide laws, not varying from state to state. what is legal, is legal nation wide!

of course that being said, if there were some more lenient provinces (alberta would be one, YAY!) it might prove to the others that gun control does not control crime!
