Hi folks

I am scratching my head about what I should save up for next. I have my "primary, go-to" handgun at the moment, that I love dearly....my HK SFP9. However, I think its time a new handgun is introduced to the WG collection. So now I am split between the Jericho 941 (just since it has always appealed to me), the Sig P320 ( heard good things but looks weird), or the new Beretta APX.

Any thoughts, experiences or opinions are very welcome in this thread

I had the same dilemma (also a happy HK SFP9 owner).

I wanted something different from the striker fire / 9mm this time, so I went with a new S&W E-Series 1911. Hopefully the transfer will be done this week.

I'd say some type of 1911 or CZ75 variant as well. Those would be more of a departure from what you have now if you are looking for something different. The Jerico falls into the the CZ category and is great value.

1911 or CZ would be my first, second and third choice. The Sig 320's only appeal is the removable chassis - which is only useful to a military or police organization where they can swap in new parts etc relatively easily. I just don't see the point otherwise.

Hardly it's only appeal. You can have one slide/ chassis with different length grip frames for the range or concealed carry. It also allows you to stipple/modify your grip without risking a serialized part.

Do yourself a HUGE favour by staying away from the APX. I had the opportunity today of checking this puppy out. What a lousy trigger it has. It felt like I was dragging my finger across course sandpaper.

And fugly to boot!

I'd probably try to P320 just because a lot of people seem quite #### hard over it.
But who am I kidding I'll never replace my glocks.

Of the ones you've listed I'd pick the P320 without hesitation. But I agree with gdawg—maybe try something that's a little more different. I'd pick one of the CZ models over a Jericho myself.

And what's with the P320 looking weird? :)

Hahaha what I meant was that it kind of looks like they forgot to add a hammer :D

I have only heard good things about them though and i am tempted to get one

I know what you mean! I bought the one above off the EE and really liked it—took it out shooting for the first time with my Dad and he ended up shooting it way better than a new gun that he'd just bought. Felt so bad that I sold it to him for what I paid. It had Trijicon HD sights—they were great.

Not many people here worried about switching from range setup to concealed carry setup

I echo the CZ sentiments. If you're looking to add something else to the safe, why not try something other than polymer/striker?

That said, there are plenty of Shadow 1s on the EE these days for reasonable prices. I have no doubt that the Shadow 2 is a better gun, but when a Gen 1 can be had for $700-$750 lightly used, I'm not sure the 2 is worth the $500 premium.
