I got this email today

“Our Canadian vendor will stop producing the powders PB, SR7625, SR4756, and SR4759 next year. We will receive one final order of each for sales in 2014. This final supply will probably last until mid-way through 2014.”

The Canadian vendor is now General Dynamics weapons division that bought the plant from Remington/DuPont. If there isn't a big demand by the military for these powder types they may die. BUT the Australians and ADI may have a replacement "IF" the French who now own ADI see a need for them. Remington/DuPont were the ones who originally set these plants up in Australia and the French own them now. (please note, I do not dislike the French, I was born on Bastille Day and like French fries) ;)

The international companies and military conglomerates who own these powder plants only care about profits and stock dividends. Your screwed, how does Trail Boss grab you.

The .303 cases below were loaded with SR4759

Ed,
Remington/Dupont never owned the Valleyfield (St-Thimothée) facility, it first started as Les Arsenaux Canadien Ltée / Canadian Arsenal Ltd (CAL a Canadian Gvt owned with some shares by CIL) in 1940 who produced IMR powders under license as CIL was also part of ICI, in which, before 1958, Dupont de Nemours had interests. It was then bought by CIL in 1965, then sold to a company named CPVC in 1977 who went bankrupt for illegally selling propellant to South Africa in 1980, Then Price-Waterhouse took it over and sold it to EXPRO in 1982, then, after many work accidents, explosions and illegal (forbidden) sales, sold to SNC-TEC to become EXPRO-Tec in 2001 (EXPRO went bankrupt in 2002), then, sold to General Dynamics in 2006.
