If you are looking for a tacticool build for your Homesteader, this did the trick for me.

Main parts of the Build:

Neumann Metalworks: Pic rail, Pistol grip adapter and skeltonized folding buffer tube.

BorealRush: C-18 Handguard

I'll likely get it threaded soon and throw a reverse can or brake on it to finish it off. As much as I love my wood n blue, this is really really growning on me.

That looks very tactically heavy. I prefer mine as is. I would love a simple M-Lok handguard but it looks like I need to buy the newest model from Henry for that. Burnt bronze is so ugly.
Surprisingly it really is not heavy at all, the handguard uses a polymer core and the shell is aluminum, as is the same with the adapter and skeltonized buffer tube. I'd have to weigh it to compare to the Homesteader in it's original form but I don't think you'll see any major increase.

A friend of mine just bought a homesteader as his first gun. Bought it second hand and it's dressed up similar to OPs... As a new gun owner I'm helping him navigate how ret.arded the gun laws are in this country. After telling him virtually all other 9mm semi carbines are banned, I told him eventually his homesteader will be banned, likely within a year at the current rate things are going. He asked me how he would know. I told him you won't and then explained the FRT and OICs.

Welcome to the sh¡t show of being a legal gun owner. Just embarrassing...

Sorry to derail, back to the homesteader... When I helped him take it down, I was surprised to see that the weight is under the handguard. Seems like a unique design. Will be interesting to see how it shoots versus the pcc's of yesterday.

It seems built well, however the only weak point from what I gather could be the mag well, some reports of injection molding failures apparently. The mag well could break apart during the recoil forces cycling back n forth. This was after several thousand rounds mind you so who knows.

I see they are offered with either a Glock or M&P magwell. I assume these can be swapped - or readily replaced if broken.
Yes the magwell is user replacable.
The only concern is whether you can get Henry USA to send one to you, as I heard the local Canada warranty centre is kind of very very slow.

A friend bought one a couple of months ago. He used the Glock magwell. Runs perfectly. Fun gun to shoot. Since he has a number of Sig 320 mags, he also bought the magwell that fits Sig 320/S&W M&P mags. It does not run well with that installed. I have a Henry lever that is super smooth and well built, and the Homesteader is of the same quality. Well worth a look if you want a 9mm PCC.
