Any chance of some 8x57 Mauser ammo. Good stuff. The hot Prvi Partizan stuff. Or some more Sellier & Bellot choices. RUAG brands...? Full power 8x57 js

Marstar has Prvi Partizann in 8x57. Its supposedly hot. They have 2 less boxes than they did before mind you. :)

PS, thanx Canpar(sarcams) for leaving a controlled product right smack in front of my doorstep for all passerbys to see. Mailbox(large one) not good enough for you? or behind the damn bush that is huge and grows right next to my patio? No way I could miss it there, but no one could see it till they were right on my porch. On a positive note it got here a day early...

Yugo Surplus 8mm is hit and miss. (so to speak) If it's for a bolt gun it's probably ok but it jams my TNW MG34. I'm only interested in the Yugo because it's brass cased, and the only kind of surplus by the crate available...

all I know is that it's yugolavian - 50's production, corrosive.

hopefully that would hit the spot.

Sorry, but I have heard much woe about 50's Yugo surplus 8mm.

The PPU 8mm that most retailers offer, including Marstar is the weak 2000 ft/s stuff (610mm barrel and Serbian atmospheric. PPU does make hot loaded 198 grain FMJ that runs at 500 ft/s more then the later. I am really interested in the pointed soft point boat tail 175 grain stuff. It is on their website under 8x57 IS category, not 8mm Mauser. I am willing to order a case of the good stuff. Looking for hunting and target.

BEAVERMEAT;
"Some Turkish loaded 8mm would hit the spot."

Suggest you read up on this one, we truned that down years ago after having it tested.... Ran as high as 120,000psi (estimated) was off the scale....
I guess it would hit the spot.

ALSO suggest you read up on Yugo military ammo, it is some of the best in the world....

Hey Johnone

Is all or some of the Turkish 8 mm also full of misfires/duds? I thought that was the case but not positive.

Any details on the Yugo 8 mm coming in? I assume corrosive? Berdan?

The PPU "8mm Mauser" is weak... PPU "8x57 IS" is hot

Here is a box, it does exist. I had to link to a Polish site.

THIS...

NOT THIS...

(search 8x57 IS and 8mm Mauser under sport&hunting) There is a difference between the two. One is hot, one is not
A-575, A-128, and A-213 are what I am looking for.

If we can get Sellier & Bellot... why not this.

It's most likely brass cased and corrosive berdan primed with 198gr bullets. Seeing as how this is what it was intended to be used in this it must be pretty good. They tend to not cheap out on their ammo, remember this is the people that made brass cased 7,62x39 for their army.
