Good day to all -

Here are some pictures of my rimfire rifles - not sure what the status is of the GSG-5 in Canada , will you be able to get them or are they too evil looking even though its the same as a 10/22?
Hope you enjoy ,
Cheers .

Nice stuff Mack. Could you provide us with some info on the GSG-5? How does it shoot, grouping - ect..
Feeding, reliablity? I'm very interested in this rifle, I hope Blue Line fight the RCMP in court over this one.

It's awesome . Mine is the first gen , and I have heard about people having some issues with reliability ( not many ) - the second gen rifles and pistols have fixed all of the small issues anyway . Also , ATI who imports them into the US is apparently very good with customer service and warranty .

Mine shot about 2" high when I first got it , the 1st gen rear sight had no elevation adjustment but I got mine dialed in regardless , and that's why I have a red dot on it . It's very accurate . ATI will also send at no cost the new rear sight with adjustable elevation but I haven't bothered yet . I'll probably get a smaller red dot for it , mine is pretty bulky .

I shoot the Federal value packs from Walmart almost entirely , and it has been the best ammo from what I've heard for it , so it is really good , cheap fun .

Mine is a great rifle - I hope they come out with some new clones as I'd probably get them all , except for the AK clone they have coming out , rather get another AK in 7.62 for the same price.

Good luck with them being available up there , it makes no sense to me .

So I take it this rifle isn't available simply because of it's looks ?

100 % correct.

February 25, 2008: The RCMP’s FRT Department classified GSG-5 as prohibited weapon, claiming it to be HK-MP5 variant. The decision was entirely based on visual appearance, rather than technical facts. We have decided to dispute that decision. We retained T. Murray Rankin Q.C. of Heenan Blaikie to pursue a review of that decision and, if necessary, an appeal. We will further inform you of any developments on this matter.

I'll see if I have a video to link to of shooting it - and thank you . You take care up in Thunder bay . Won't take anything for granted here .

Can't figure out why they think it's a variant of the MP5, it can't take any parts of the MP5. Even the "suppressor" doesn't work, it's just there for looks.

Typical bureaucratic bullsh!t.

Any updates on the challenge??

A gun is a gun, is a gun. It was only based on looks not fuction. Even if it was an MP5, who cares? It still shoots bullets just like a Remington 700, AR15, M14, ect.. Don't bother trying to make sence of it, you'd just be wasting your time.

This is the only update that is posted. You can phone blueline and ask if their is any more info on the challenge.
