there more in the basement but they are buried under stuff lol some pretty cool shells from a nice German 88 to a cannon ball from the battle of Culloden in 1746 where the Scots were defeated by the English not at all good for the poor Scots I have a couple cannon balls that are from the Brit fort at Burlington heights my buddy found them in a 1961at the bootomof the embankment there are a few 2cm AA rds from Germany and a real cool 13mm and 15mm both German as well one of my best IMHO is our 3.7AA she'll the projectile was made just down the road at National Steel Car here in Hamilton

Ach! Those bloody Sassenachs.

During the war, my dad was in charge of the shell shop at Dominion Bridge in Winnipeg.
There were dozens of shell casings in our basement when I was a wee gasper, most of them bigger than I was.
When we moved into a larger house in '55, my mother read the Riot Act and they all got carted off to the dump.

Sigh.

That is kinda sad but it was what often happened ...my wife works at a scrap yard and shells do come in from time to time but they will not sell them to me even when clearly maked enert or dummy ...I'm still trying lol

Those British 3.7 inch AA guns pretty bad @ss equipment! 1959-1997 Restigouche class RCN missile destroyer the twin mount 3.7 up front and American 3inch caliber 50 in the rear mount.
British gun was more straight forward barrel caliber as it was WW2 4.5 inch RN gun necked down to 3.7 for superior AAA mission effective to 50,000 feet.
That American gun was true 3 inch caliber with a barrel measurement fifty calibers in length.
I prefer myself the British method of bore designation. As it more truly reflects reality.

I thank u my wife thanks u yep I'm lucky she loves guns ,military stuff,Harley's and tattoos...our goal is to by a tank when we win the lottery lol
