Just got in last night from a long elk hunt, we managed 2 bulls, both 6x6 with very nice body size. Passed on dozens of w/t. mulies and small 6pt bulls. Here's a few pictures of the hunt and a few I took at Parsons Taxidermy in Cranbrook when we came back through to drop the horns and cape for mounting on the bigger of the 2 elk bulls;

Awsome guys my bloods pumping i took my son and brother out for bear on the weekend and they each took one, hunting season is here.

Here's a few from Parsons, real good guy and came from a great recomendation from a very well known sheep hunter that stopped in camp for a little while.

Reg Parsons is not a "good" taxidermist....He is more of an artist....I have had a few mounts done by him and he does awesome work...I just wish I had more money to get more stuff mounted by him....

Walking around his studio is just mind-bending....Not just his mounts, but the uniqiue positioning that he can do..Not just the basic straight on head mounts, peeks, quarter peeks etc....The guy has visions...

Highly recommend him....

When I nail a buck worthy of a full mount, I'm definitely going with one of those buck/doe dual mounts. I think they're awsome.

I only carried a camera for 2 days and then opted to leave it back in camp so I could fit more food and drinks in my pack as we were hiking up to 15 klm up and down mtn's some days, so most pics were back at camp, some of the others took a few pics of the bulls before dressing, I will wait to see if they get sent to me.
