as someone new to shooting and interested in the M14, is there a good commercially available stock for the m305 that approximates that look?

just looked at the Sage website, no prices listed. they ship to canada?

There's a few good ones...SAGE being the obvious choice. Lots of guys here have them so they must ship to Canada or there's a supplier here. Marstar makes a kind of SAGE knock off as well. Other good choices are JAE, TROY IND, and a few variations from McMillan Bros. All of which are not cheap and therefore not practical for the average plinker...not to mention they're all quite heavy which may or may not be an issue. I prefer the good old USGI fiberglass... relatively inexpensive, light and impervious to weather when finished properly.

hehe, I want to see a video of this guy actually shooting the rifle! Scope kick to the face for sure!
But a great picture!

I'm sure under field conditions with his chest rig, helmet, ballistics on, the right cheek weld is not always easily obtained. Great pictures guys. I'm a lover of the vietnam era M21 pics, but it's great to see the old workhorse alive and well in practical applications.

The DMR concept is something I have no interest in or have read much on. Would this be a copy of the Cold War era Soviet sniper doctrine of operating Snipers with companies of Infantry. If I recall NATO snipers were trained and looked for the distinctive gear and Draganov of the attached snipers(their first targets if an engagement was called for), when watching enemy troop movements, where the west, were going more towards specialized two-man teams operating independant of the company level down.

He's good till he tries to aquire the target.........

:p

He might have customized his rear scope cover like I did on my M14 scope by having it come open and then snag and break off while trying to cram it into an overfilled safe. It's way faster now, I don't even have to flip it open.:D

Wow, those are some pretty neat pics. I really want an M14 DMR set up but moneys tight. The sage stock is a bit much though. a Buddy had one and it made the gun heavy as a mother F er
