I'll post a pic of a pulled KKSP. Do you think the young'uns here will believe they actually used to pierce the shank of the bullet to lock the core in?

KKSP = Kling-Kore Soft Point

The KKSP really did hold the cores in the jacket. As the bullet decelerated upon hiitting something, they would actually extrude short lead curls out of the jackets where they were punched.

I saw this a few times on expanded bullets taken from game. Will check and see if I can find one for a picture.

They are a ###y bullet for sure. Got a dime store review of their performance Calum? Looks like a good penetrator.

For my part nothing on critters yet, but I have talked to others that have taken everything from Deer to Bear to even Moose with them.

At the reloading bench:
Great brass for reloading, at proper spec for the 6.5 swede Mauser so not much case stretch, unlike Winchester or Federal which will leave a ring around the base as they are not quite the proper chamber size.

At the rifle range:
Best accuracy and on par with anything I can reload, the point of impact is real close to the iron sights point of aim with my old M38 Mauser. 300yard gong was not problem if I did my part.

Sorry I don't have a critter review yet...perhaps with luck I'll get something this season, and hopefully I can recover the bullet.

"...that old IVI stuff..." Dominion predates IVI. Dominion made better ammo on the same machines. I recall Dominion loaded .303's et al with the nylon insert.

The .308 180gr KKSP was pulled from a DOMINION headstamped case (30-06) and so was the .308 150gr Sabre Tip (308 Win). You can tell how fresh 3 of the pulled bullets were by the dull patina on the exposed tips. They were pulled an hour before I posted the pics for the new shooters here.
