Some things are just meant to be. (NEW PICS PG2)

The gun looks even better up close. Fantastic engraving work.
I like the star twist pattern in the barrels, my wedding ring has the same pattern.
How does it point?

Having seen it with my own eyes and having held it and examined it under a magnifying glass, I can tell you she's a beautiful piece of master craftsmanship. It was light in my hands and pointed naturally.

Truly a once-in-a-lifetime find. I'm sure it will become legendary in the covey. The thing with the initials - how can you beat that?!

Congrats.

p.s. Lest anyone think I am showing off a megabuck firearm here, let me say that the gun cost less than the price of a new Citori.

Now thats whats truly incredible about it.
If the craftsmenship of the gun is that nice, I'd assume the case is a work of art too...

But worth probably triple that! That is even more a magnificent piece of artwork than I'd imagined. I am breathless.

Oh boy, all these discussions and shotgun images are stirring up old feelings that I thought no longer existed since I moved to Canada......perhaps I should've stayed away from CGN and Shotgun World Forum :(

Absolutely gorgeous! I really admire the old craftsmen who worked without benefit of modern tooling and did far, far better work than what you will find manufactured today. Everything totally handfitted.

Enjoy it as I know you will. It would be a waste on me since I would only lovingly pull it out of the case and minutely examine every square inch.

Sharptail, that is a beauty!

I have a soft spot fot the Scottish makers, just a little something extra.

I shoot smokeless loads in all of my damascus guns, please feel free to e-mail, or PM me to discuss the specifics if interested.

You lucky son of a #####! I'm as jealous as hell.

Now go kill something with it!

I wouldn't touch or buff a thing. Takes away from the true beauty if you want my honest opinion. Then again, I am sure you think the same thing yourself anyway having a fine piece such as this with the old ammo boxes in the picture etc. Oh and did I mention, I love that buttstock :D

Are you going to shoot it off?

For bear defense, would you load the slug in the mod chamber, or the IC chamber?

;-)

Beautiful gun, congrats--I hope you get her out in the field this year, that old girl deserves it.

And somebody, somewhere, will steal a gun like that and then hacksaw off the butt and 16" of barrel and foreend. A capital offense, in my view.
