Some "Trench Art" for you

To each their own. I personally love how some of these people saying that this is terrible are the ones who say its my rifle let me do what I want with it (now you get a idea of how a purist feels when they see sporters or tacticool guns out of old milsurps).

The OP obviously enjoys this and as long as he's happy does it really matter? Also even though I am not a fan of the looks (the metallic red and black one isn't too bad), I do appreciate that you are only doing this to sporters and not full stock military rifles.

If you used a bit of time and technique it would be possible to make them look pretty tight. Those just look like quickly painted patio furniture, probably because you meant it that way? Either way, if you like it then good for you :D
