Kind of my point.... If the best you can do is a fist sized group at 100 based on rifle dynamics and using hand loaded ammunition this isn't a wolf rifle...

mine shoots phnomenally better than anything i was expecting based on what people say about them. all four that i have fired were quite accurate at 100 yards- 4 to 6 inch groups with iron sights and surplus ammo. maybe they were freaks, i dont know. and i do actually enjoy cleaning all my firearms after shooting. just old habits i guess, kind of feel it`s sacreligious to put them away unclean.... i do prefer an enfield, however.
the only "special" way i found to hit the target with an SKS was to line up the sights on the target at the same point of aim and squeeze the trigger. same as my enfield...

You are a lucky guy, my grandfather is the type of "nice guy" that would send you to the Emergency room, not the psychiatry ward. Pure blasphemy. But, I never tell others what to do with their legally owned property. If its beautiful to YOU, then its beautiful period. Keep on truckin...........(and painting!!!!) Eccentricities are very much common place in today's society and is accepted.........well with some. I don't know anything personally about the OP, except that his art is off the wall, pund intended, and is quite odd.
 
Like Track has point out eccentricities in todays society is common as witnessed in part by the popularity of body piercing and tattooing. Those acts of self mutilation and the eccentric use of clothing are personal to ones own body and are for the most part innocent enough and cause no harm to self and others. However if the OP remembers when he filled out the application for his PAL there was many questions that referred to history of mental disorders. Eccentricities with the use of firearms and the relationship to psychiatric disorders is open to interpretation. My suggestion to the OP is that perhaps it is not wise to display your unique form of eccentric firearms art on a public form on the internet. As there may be authority type folks watching who may question your mental qualifications to be issued a PAL.
 
For a community founded on principles of liberty, you're sure quick to judge.

I've got an old Jungle Carbine doing nothing and I've always been a little bummed that there's some pock marks on the bayonet, the rifle would look hilarious awesome on my Snapper ride on with matching paint :cool: I'd want to mount it muzzle up I think, maybe some contrasting black flames on the but stock.. lol R U in?? its just gatherin dust where it is..... pm sent
 
Awesome salty. Gotta mow the jungle for the jungle carbine to be any use. As for the paintjob I could do it in mg sleep. I could rig up some sort of mounting mechanism on there. Maybe mobify some Scotty parts.

And I hope you own something cool like a lightweight rig chamber in a 264 round to make up for a jungle carbine.
 
Ya, ya, maybe a swivel scotty rod holder or some chit so it could ride upright big ol orange bayonet to the sky, then just swing it forward a quarter turn and draw! Be damned you pesky crows snappin up all the bugs my snapper is snappin! Oh man, this is great I'm so glad I live in a small town in the boonies you obviously couldn't pull this off in the city but the neighbours in my village will get a kick out of this they'll just honk laugh and thumbs up. lmao Snapper warz..................... I'll email those pics the pock marks aren't too bad hit it with some 80 grit on a disk and most of em should come out. I don't mind paying for lots of paint either. A bunch of flood coats should smooth it out. I'm just looking for it to look at great an arms length away kind of deal.
