Not much effort there :D All one is gotta do is saw off portion of those bbls and the buttstock :D :D Come to think of it, sawn-off shotguns were really the first tactical models IMO :)

May not be entirely out of place here to mention that CZ Bobwhite is now being offered in 16ga.......proportionately built, no frills, economical shotgun. CZs have had some bad press due to quality issues but I haven't had problems with my Bobwhites 12 & 20ga so far.

My dad gave me his AH Fox a couple years ago.

It was his "go to" gun since he was a teen. I don't think either of us realized the value of it.

He got it for fixing some guys car when he was 15.

Beautiful guns.
 
That round box lock is as nice as any. No wonder there's a huge waiting list.

A shipment of new CZ's came in about 2 weeks ago. My Bobwhite in 20 ga. among them.:) I placed my order a couple of months ago. Still waiting for the shipment to clear CFC.:(

Don't know how many of the current shipment are available, but I do know many were pre-sold. If anyone is thinking of getting one for this year's hunt, you'd be smart to act now, or set your expectation for next season.

The Galazan RBL is a very interesting gun. It appears to be priced to compete with the lower-priced Spanish sidelocks and Italian boxlocks while offering a more interesting gun for a few dollars more than either the Beretta Silver Hawk and Ruger Gold Label.

Galazan makes some great guns. I shot with a man a few years ago who owns three of them, two over/unders and an FE Grade Fox. That would be about $150,000USD in shotguns. :eek: The over/unders (12 and 20) were very nice but the Fox left me cold. The workmanship was outstanding but the gold inlays, inlaid lightning bolts on the barrels, Fleur de Lis chequering made the gun look gaudy. Sometimes you can have too much of a good thing.

That sort of gun is best used for driven shooting, I guess I need to educate you guys. In driven shooting you dont even get your boots dirty!

You didn't mention the "gun bearers" who actually carry the guns (delicately) and walk behind those shooters during a hunt :p :D :D
 
No bearers, guns are dropped off in a line, mayb have loaders and more than one or two guns each and the beaters work the birds toward the guns!
 
WOW Rbl wants ALOT of money for a common parker-style BoxLock. For a sidelock I could see it, but a boxlock!?!!?!?! WTF?!?! I guess someone will buy them, just like some people buy Volvos.

I had to laugh at their "hard gold plated" internals. Yeah. I'm sure that gold plating on the hammer strike surfaces will last REAL long and hard. Looks to me like useless embelishment for no other reason than to increase the price. Doesn't increase aesthetics as it's hidden in the lockwork. If they really cared about corrosion as they claim, they would have used something mroe durable like Rhodium or Hard Chrome.

Now those conneticut shotgun sidelocks are just plain YUMMY!
