Some xcr noob questions

I got mine from Wolverine a couple months ago in 7.62x39. No problems so far, although my round count is fairly low. Didn't like the stock so I got an adapter from Dlask and have a M4 style stock. Wolverine was good to deal with. Had an LMT AR and loved it, but didn't love...make that loathed, the restricted designation. Now my XCR can ride with me pretty well everywhere.

Do you have a pic of that with the M4 stock attached? How much of a chore was it putting on?

Very easy installation, less than 15mins, 1 bolt and a set screw if I remember right. I think the adapter was $60. I will try and snap a picutre later this afternoon and upload.

I was at Calgary Shooting Centre today and on a whim asked to see the XCRs they had in stock (I'm in the process of deciding on an AR15). As luck would have it, another customer was there (who I believe may have been Rick from ATRS?) who had tons of experience with the firearm and gave myself and an employee quite an education on takedown and operation. Overall I was really impressed. My only qualm, and its a big one, is the rifle is so damn long. I understand this is the pain we must endure for a rifle to qualify as NR (short of dishing out even more $$$ for a tavor) but I'm really a SBR guy at heart. Decisions decisions.

I went somethig like 4000 rounds between cleaning, that only included oiling it mabe 2 or 3 times in a course of I dunno.. 5,6,7 months or so. During that time it had been stapled on atv's, slung over my shoulder riding in pissing rain and flinging clay, put away wet and litterally caked with mud for months, taken out of the case, bust the big chunks off and out shooting again. Ran flawless. I only cleaned it because I was embarrased by it.
