Lately there have been a few threads about what kind of double barrel is available that won't break the bank. Well, someone just got a deal off the EE for a 1982 Armas Ego 12 gauge. Gun is a sidelock with hand removable locks, full coverage engraving, ejectors, automatic safety and gas vent channels. That's just from looking at 3 pics. Unless it has issues, someone will be happy at $450.00 shipped. Can't do much better than that for the features it had. Like they say, "ya snooze ya loose" and I was snoozing!!

I saw the gun as well while driving home from the skeet shoot with VictoryXC, but was not in a position to be fiddling around with the cell phone while driving 140km/h down the highway. The gun was gone by the time I was able to give it a better look. But from the pictures that were posted, it did look like a great deal!

I'm thinking around $800.00 would still have been an okay price for this Spanish sidelock gun with hand detachable locks, ejectors, full engraving etc unless there were issues that weren't stated in the listing. Of course if it would have been an "English" sidelock with said features, it would be a lot higher. This is just my opinion. Others may have a different value.

Ok. Thanks. So not as bad as the $50 dollar 28ga wingmaster
Cheers

You may agree that in the case of Spanish guns (other than the prominent brands and more current makes) it is always the gun and not the maker particularly as far as an older specimen may be concerned. Therefore, makes on-line purchase a somewhat skeptical process in terms of determining a reasonable value - unless all validation components are checked-off as truly positive.

Personally speaking, I did not find the shotgun attractive (no offence, new owner :)) as it was stocked "differently" and more likely a bit overweight due to 3in chambers.

Couple weeks back, I think, there was a nice looking 12ga Ugartechea on the EE. A friend was highly interested, however, the ad lacked most of the requisite basic details one would generally seek on a used shotgun. I requested the seller for images + the necessary info. He sent the images but chose to completely disregard my queries. My friend was ready to go for that firearm had the seller taken the time to respond to those questions.

Yes, the ad left out much detail as far as condition and function. The approximate value I gave would be if the gun checked out and had no issues which would only be known by more photos and honest answers. There is the possibility that it wasn't worth the $450.00 if there were issues with it.
As far as looks or preferences of the particular gun, that is entirely subjective to potential owners.

What?!?!? A 28g wingdinger went for $50??? Seriously?? Some ol'lady must have been pissed at her old man! Sounds a lot like the story of the ex wife selling the ex hubby's new BMW for $100.

I did not see it but so they say and I looked right after the posts but could not find it. I am thinking maybe an express 28ga but even that is way too cheap
It happens I guess if the poor seller has no clue what he has or someone just wants it out of the house.
I know anytime my bud shows me what is handed into police there is usually a couple there that makes me want to cry
Call me crazy but I could not sleep taking one from someone for that even a 12ga wingmaster
Cheers

Agree...but then again I was pretty happy when I landed a Browning Silver Hunter from Bass Pro for $699. Maybe I didnt feel so bad because the guy working there actually recommended it because it was listed at that price and also said he bought a bunch for himself to flip for profit. Afterall, I did walk in there to buy a Beretta A400, so the Browning wasnt even on my radar. Either way, Im sure I would have felt bad if it was a fellow gunnut and not a big box store!
