It wasn't me... that said I'm 99% done my first AR "build". All that is left is replacement trigger, probably gonna go with a timney 3 or 3.5 lb. Paint job was done by yours truly mostly because I got bored last night and had a couple hours to kill.
Big thanks to the guys at Reliable Gun, DS Tactical and Select Shooting for supplying parts and advice on the build.

The rifle started life as a sig m400 with the following parts being added.
sampson evo keymod 15" hanguard
magpul moe grip and stock
raptor charging handle
rainier arms low profile gas block
Jerry Miculek muzzle device
ergo hand/ barricade stop
sampson 2" rail
ergo sling loop
tactical innovations battery assist lever
burris pepr mount
bushnell 1-4x 24mm throw down
magpul ms3 sling black (not pictured)

Yeah I figured even with all the extremely hard use it's gonna see in sand boxes around the world the odds of my optic actually going down are slim to none. I do have the rear buis that came with the rifle and may put it back on once I acquire a front at some point in the future

well if we're being totally honest peq-15, flash light, m203, 15 mags all taped together, and a sig 226 on a 45 degree mount with it's own optic, buis and suppressor. Like I always say if you can still lift it it's no tactical enough :p

I'm not entirely sure as I don't have a scale. That said I would place it as comparable to the weight of the original rifle with the optic and mount. The sampson fore end is definitely lighter than a moe carbine guard, so the balance is nice and my pinnner a$$ has no problem swinging it around (in addition to not being a real operator I don't even lift)

Also thanks dudes I had lots of fun painting it and putting it all together. As much as my retirement plan is gonna hate it I don't think it'll be the last AR I build

Nice build dude. I just bought a MI 15"keymod handguard for my m400. How tough was the handguard installation? Was the A2 post pins difficult to punch? How about the delta ring? Did you need to remove the barrel to pull the delta ring to install the handguard? Thanks mang!
 
Why do you have a sling swivel on the right side if you are right handed (I assuming you are since you have a BAD lever on the rifle)?

mechanically there was nothing insane about the build. A2 was just a matter of using a set of calipers to actually figure out which end was which then getting them moving with the hammer on hammer method. If you wanted to save the delta ring you will need a barrel wrench, vice and vice block. That said I just cut mine off with a zip cut on a rotary tool. When you look at the $100 plus dollars you will spend on AR specific tools scraping a $20 delta ring is not that big a deal unless you're going to be build a ton of ar's and can justify the tool cost.

I'm actually a lefty. Which was my main reason for adding all the ambi parts and going with the m400 as the basis for the build. Bellow is a picture of how I use the bad lever in order to avoid changing my master grip during reloads. *I'm pressing the end of the lever with my thumb as I insert the mag*
 
If you're a lefty, why wouldn't you just use your trigger finger to hit the bolt hold open? You're basically doing the left handed version of what the Battery Assist lever was designed to allow people to stop doing.
 
Ditch the battery assist lever and add an ambidextrous magazine release.
I'd also recommend keeping your sling shooter side of the barricade stop - that is of course if you plan to use as intended as a barricade stop.

Yeah I get where you are coming from, I decided to go with it because I also have quite small hands and basically have to take my hand off the grip to reach the paddle. That said nothing has been welded in place and I'm than open to changing things around if I find that something just doesn't work for me

The m400 comes standard with an ambi mag release. Which I can still operate (holy fecal matter I really do operate things!!!! I am an operator!!!!! ��) with the bad lever in place l. Like I said I'm open to changing things as I get more and more time behind the rifle. So we'll see what happens with it.
 
Hmmm. The specs on their website make no mention of the Ambi mag release.
Looks like it is set up just right from the factory then.

I honestly don't remember. I used a set of calipers to measure the "head" of the pins on both sides then drove them from the small side towards the larger side. If you don't have calipers but do have a good eye for such things you should be able to, "eye ball" them to figure out what side to hammer on.
