I love it!!!!!! 
One of the guys at my club had a Beretta 687EELL painted (airbrushed) with Orange as the primary colour, and a lot of other different colours. It really suited his personality, and he could back it up on the field.
The story goes though; He left it with one of the older guys in the club who does some finer gunsmithing and a little stock work for a 'tune up'. He ended up keeping it for at least a month, and during that time, unknown to the guy who owned it, he stripped the paint off the wood, and applied a proper finish.
Being a EELL the thing has the nicest damn wood on it. It was a shame to have painted it, but that said, I miss seeing the funky paint job.

Must be a skeet thing eh Brad? The gun pictured is a 28" Perazzi MX8 skeet gun with a tube set.
I've seen some pretty dismal looking wood on Perazzis but none so bad that it would deserve this treatment.
Although I guess it would be easy to spot your gun on the rack at the club.

True, hard to imagine that the wood was that fugly to deserve the paint job. I've seen a fair amount of paint on guns owned by Junior shooters. Some of them like the fancy paint more than the fancy wood. I guess the appreciation for wood is something you grow into. If it helps keep them interested in the mean time, then I'm all for it.

Brad, I liked your earlier links better.
The painted stocks from Dave's Auto Body are causing me to rethink my dismay over Beretta Xtra-wood. At least it looks like wood from a distance.
I don't know what Dave probably charges for his (ahem) artistry but the money would be much better spent on a wood upgrade.
