Something different. A Canadian M72 Law made in Canada by CCM in 1968

Your Front Sight is broken off. They are the weakest part of the M72 and are not made to "pop up" repeatedly. Extend the Tube, arm, fire, and stomp the tube to prevent misuse after the fact. It was not meant to be a durable part for repeated use. You will need to find a complete replacement Front Sight from another junked M72 Tube.

Used to be common as could be before some Liberal thought, hey these things could be dangerous. :ROFLMAO: After that, they were destroyed.

I had no idea they used to made in Canada. I believe the current version in service is Norwegian, NM72.

I going to guess that this launcher was made in 1968. In the 1970s there was a version with C-7 as the model number. About 15 years ago a practice 66mm rocket was recovered on the old rocket range at CFB Borden but no record of a practice rocket could be found.

It would have had a HEAT warhead. The new ones are marked the same way, ROCKET HE 66MM AT M72A5C1. Not sure why the HE AT is separated by the 66mm.
yes --- and it is marked as a HEAT round - 'HE ......ANTITANK'

Keep a look out for the sub-cal and adapter.
That’s what I used in Dundurn Sk in the ‘90s
These were a little more spectacular than the 84mm subcal which were 6:5x55 at the time before replaced with the 7.62mm

When I was a kid during the Vietnam war, the hippies where protesting these being made in Canada by CCM and another company and that they where sent to the USA for use in the war.

Mine says;

ROCKET, HE, 66MM, AT, C7
LOT 2-RA-79

Recovered from Pet in 1986 (BAOT Block 2)
I enjoyed shooting these more than the Carl G
