Something fishy about AAIcanada ''WTS : French sniper FRF2 coming soon'' thread?

Go to Ian McCollum's Forgotten Weapons to research the rifle and the issue scope. The rifle is serious, as is the scope. A limited number of these rifles were released by the French Government. These are the real deal, not commercial copies.
A limited run of the official scopes is being made this year for civilian sale. Until this year, the manufacturer could not produce the issue scope for civilian sale. There would be quite a difference between "a scope" and "the scope".

Navy Arms is the US importer of the rifles.

So did you BUY a rifle from them? Or just get some pictures?

Good communication by email and some pictures copied from the web sight.
THE INDIVIDUAL'S PRIVATE CGN PROFILE has many positive feedback reviews and has been around for a while.

I'm waiting until I get actual firearm pictures to potentially purchase.

So important questions.

How many rifles were released by the French govt for sale?

Wolverine is well established so there are not really any concerns on their part.

As for AAI

New Business as of February, website went online 08/2022.
New Profile on CGN with first post advertising these rifles for sale.
Business address is a recently constructed residential home that google maps hasn't even driven past yet....
Business address comes back to Richard Construction, but on FB that same construction company claims a different residential address just 30 minutes down the street.
Payment by EMT or Bank transfer only, no credit card processing so cannot charge back through your credit card if product does not turn out as described or never shows up.
Whois lookup is a bunch of Redacted and Blank slots.

Way too many red flags on this one, just like the thread on the Glock kits from a few days ago.

Yes we are a new company to residential adress with city licence and rcmp licence.

The import process is in very good way.
ETA is for february 2023.

the paiement with credit card arrived quikly but EMT or Bank transfer is not bad. Some other firearms website proposed this.

Thanks and if you are any questions contact me in PM.or mail.

It's French so barely used.

On the contrary - these are apparently well and truly used.
Which is concerning as to how used, or used up.

The pricing on these is out to lunch for what you get, if you just look at the system as a shooter (go get a Finish TRG-22 for better in class for the era sniper rifle, for way less coin - as an example), but in line with the unobtainium factor insofar as a milsurp goes.
The problem with this is how many are going to be released? If thousands are flooding the market, that unobtainium factor quickly evaporates.
It stands to reason the French are getting rid of all of them, so whatever number they've fielded, bet that close to that number are going to be hitting the market.

I'd need to see and fondle a specimen to lay out that much cheddar.

These FRF1 threads hurt my brain, so much stupid crap in them.
If people dont know about these rifles, or why sniper rifles draw premium prices, maybe do some research.
At 13k, with an optic, for me its pushing it, for 7-9k with the scope its a very fair deal, and honestly I was hoping someone might be able to bring in spare scopes. Even at 2500$ one of the scopes would be a bargain.
Now back to the EE with its 2k$ mosins, and rare rugers for 3k$s.

Heck for the rarity/collector value thats cool!

Its a MAS-36 with a heavy barrel and high school shop class pistol grip lol. But dang, what a cool history piece.
