Son-of-a-b**ch!!! A supressor... Come on... This IS NOT TEASING, it's plain old cruel treatment of Canadians!

Cheers

Talk about unbalanced, wow just went from 18" to 36" with that stupid ass piece of metal on the front. I didn't know shot guns were used as sniper rifles as they only shoot max 100 yards out of a smooth bore!

The only way to shoot the damn thing would be off a bi-pod and you would have to add a whole new sighting system.

Um, no.
Assumptions prior to investigations are just prejudices.

I had a 32 inch barrelled ten gauge that was guaranteed to be heavier than a reflex suppressed 12 gauge, and I found that after I got used to it, the extra length just helped it point and swing much more smoothly on the clays.

I'm sure that shotgun is nice as pie to shoot. It's not like it's a packed design! The reflex suppressor common with shotguns is almost entirely empty sheet steel and just reduces the noise to a non-hearing-damaging level, not a "movie-quiet" level.

there are perfectly legal ~30" barrel extensions for shotguns that screw into your choke threads - with light loads they are very quiet.

a huge silencer on a 12ga doesnt really excite me, as the applications would be so limited.
now a silenced .22? sign me up (i wish).

A big ugly moderator is hardly going to turn it into a balanced sporting gun BUT it seems intended for a pest control/general work or farm gun, for which it would be well suited.

For a shotgun I wouldn't choose it for 90% of wingshooting applications though.

Moderators may look terrible and may add length and weight but on a 'general' hunting rifle (not a specialized piece like a light mountain rifle, or large bore dangerous game rifle) I think they make absolute sense - better for your ears, less stress on other game, less intrusive for neighbours etc etc. I would fit one to rifle if they were legal.

On a varmint rifle I think they could be come standard!
