Something somebody told me today

One issue I see IF they prohibit black guns, is that they will probably put each variant of black gun into its own class. which means just because I get grandfathered for the ar doesn't mean I'll be able to go out and buy a mini14.

I'd have to say that would take too much time/effort.

In the future I don't think any gov't that wants to get rid of guns will bother with prohib/grandfathering or anything like that. It will be an outright ban, and they will take our guns, probably with little to no compensation.

The way with current world poiltic, (at least within North America) politicians are prone to side with anti-firearm crowd. What with all the pro-environment (massively mis-interpreted) and passive/reactive attitute of general population, fearing any glimpse of violence real or imagined, although maybe justified, future isn't quite the place for us gun enthusiast a happy place.

I just hope that the CPC does not think that it is just duck hunters that have issues with C68, cus if that's the case the black guns may be hung up to dry in order to satisfy the anti's while thinking that it will not impact their voting base. Remember, the current C21 panders to non-restricted guns, ie mostly hunting rifles.

I was at the local gunshop today and the owner was saying that he thought there was a pretty good possibility that the current 'black' guns could be pushed into the prohib status in order to molify the opposition parties into allowing the long gun registry to be dismantled. What say you?

Oh yeah... It's gotta be true.

'Like the one shop owner who explained away the real reason the mini14 wasn't banned despite it's associatiion with the Ecole Poly... masacre..

"They couldn't ban it 'cause it's the favorite gun of the Inuit for hunting"

I guess the gov't was afraid of the massive Inuit mini14 advocacy lobby.

I wouldn't be too surprised. That's essentially the reason the Valmet wasn't prohibited.
