With places like this selling what they do, it saves the fradulent-minded one step when turning garbage into a "rare collectable".

I know others have been selling stamps for a while, but this dude seems super open about it... I'm hard-pressed to think of a legitimate use. "Freshening up" an existing stamp still seems sketchy at best.

If there is a market for just about anything someone will find a way to fake it. At one time milsurps were dirt cheap and plentiful and collectors were few. I know one long time dealer who told me that he won't even buy WW2 Nazi items anymore due to rampant fakery, some of it quite good.

I can't speak to the accuracy of his proof mark stamps, but one of my specialties is German postal cancellations, specializing in Graf Zeppelin/Hindenburg Zeppelin mail. Taking a look at his reproduction cancellation stamps (the Luftpost cancel in perticular), there are plenty of glaring mistakes, especially when one knows what to look for. Like Coyote Ugly said, close but no cigar.

Walt Disney faked WW1 German Sniper camo pattern Helmets when he was overseas
as it was worth 10 times as much as a regular German helmet.
More spending money for Walt and he could fool the troops going home on the trains who wanted a souvenir.
