something wrong with browning??

In my opinion, Browning has made some of the best quality PRODUCTION HUNTING guns in the last 40 years. The fit and finish is second-to-none. People chime in time and time again stating that "the Brownings are not customizable easily with new stocks or barrels". Who cares? If I wanted to buy a gun that I needed to change everything on it to make it a good gun, does that even make any sense. (Savage rifles, Ruger 10/22, etc) You buy a Browning because it is a good hunting rifle on it's own. If the stock doesn't fit you or it is "too cheesy" looking for you to own, just don't buy it. If you are going to shoot 5000 rounds through your hunting rifle and will need a new barrel.......just don't buy it. That's what TARGET rifles are for.......high round counts. If you NEED a target/set trigger , don't buy a Browning. BUT...............if you want a great hunting rifle that can be proudly handed down in 50 years, look no further. They are my favorite TRADITIONAL , get the job done with class, reliable hunting rifle.

The Browning x-bolt is definitely a step up from the first and second generation A-bolts.
All are accurate enough....some are exceptionally so.
But, I firmly believe that the best Browning rifles ended when the BBR was phased out.
Therefore, I own no newer Brownings. But many are obviously very pleased with theirs. D.

Browning warranty service blows chunks

My dads NEW Citori is STILL out for replacing a defective stock that broke after only a few range trips. It went to the Canadian warranty centre in spring of 2016, and in April of this year I made enough noise that it got shipped down south.

It's still not fixed and I don't expect to see it back before end of trap season

Now which company had the facetious slogan "because you suck and we hate you" applied to them?

Browning is in contention.

Good guns. Just hope you don't have an issue with them.

Better yet, don't buy them new.

Since we are on the Browning subject...
What's an older used Abolt 30'06 worth? My old man wants me to buy his, nice enough rifle, but I have a half dozen HVA 30'06 already so it's not really that appealing to me.

Pfffft who cares about their guns I bet they sell more stickers to city kids then guns anyway.

Dont you think every other firearms brand would love this.
The profit margins on firearms are pretty small, but that silly sticker costs pennies and sells for dollars.

I like Browning they have over the years made some very nice firearms. The 1886 and 1892 models are great examples of fine firearms manufacturing in my opinion.

I've owned and shot over 5 dozen different rifles made by most common manufacturers in the past 20+ years. My main go to for practical carry/hunting rifles are all mid weight sporter x-bolts. I don't feel they are over priced for what I get in quality. I'm not interested in aftermarket upgrades either. I like these rifles the way they are, which is why I bought them in the first place.

This. I'm here to hunt and shoot, not play Barbie with guns.

I have a cheap AB3 in 308 that I usually grab for hunting. It's quite well made, factory bedded, accurate as I can be, and the trigger was pretty easy to tune a bit lighter by tweaking a couple of springs. Can't say anything bad about it really, it's plain jane.

I have a browning a-bolt micro medallion chambered in 284 win. I have a 2-7 leupold mounted on it. I have used this set up for 30 years hunting blacktails on Vancouver Island and it has never let me down.

there's a reason you see that Browning buck on the back of so many trucks

Yeah, there is, but it has nothing to do with hunting or gun ownership. Lol
