Here is something you don't see every day. She has 6 kits. Cute is an understatement. Pity the mice and voles.
4 years ago a Cougar crossed the road infront of us at almost the exact location. Always been a good place for grouse and an odd concentration of whitetails.

I had been choked that someone shot my moose a couple hours before I got where I was going but watching this family made the trip worthwhile.

In August I watched a lynx walk up to our canoe and have a sniff inside, probably searching for the lake trout that was there the night before. I hadn't seen one for over 20 years, then the next day we saw another on the road in a similar situation to yours. It is rare and wonderful to get a sighting!
