Sommerset Sporterized Enfield rifle

I inherited a 303 Enfield that has been factory sporterized I'm guessing it may be the American version of the Enfield by the location of where the Military stamp was machined off. It has really nice wood in the stock. Anybody tell me anything about these rifles or the manufacture I haven't been able to locate anything on the net or saw another rifle like it

It is a sporterized Lee Enfield #4. It was made in England. I can tell that by the bolt release.

The rear sight was changed from a highly effective, fast and accurate peep to an open sight. This would be easy to change back.

It is worth around $200. An excellent hunting rifle. I use a similar one as a back up and a loaner.
