Somthing better then Sako Hunting Rifle

Sakos are the best.

Sakos are pretty awesome for an off the shelf rifle. I'm not sure what you mean by the best. That to me seems to be a very subjective question and only you can answer that. I believe you will have the answer after you've tried a whole bunch of guns. Who know maybe the best for you is a $12,000. custom built rifle, or you'll come to appreciate what you've got.

Good luck!

You mention Sako+ range... I think that Sauer is worth taking a look at. Anyone who has handled one will yell you that the bolt moves like a buttered ballerina! Some offer changeable barrels as well. Check out the 202 or the 90. You won't be disappointed.

I haven't handled a lot of really nice rifles, but my friend's Sauer with the mannlicher stock is certainly one of the nicest! Buttered ballerina is a good - and somewhat arousing - description LOL

SAUER is a very nice rifle for an off the shelfer. I just picked up a Kimber 8400 Montana in my favorite hunting cartridge (300 WM). For the cost of the rifle its a bargain. Fit and Finish very similar to a Sako but its controlled round feed. Is not overly heavy, and shoots like a dream. I would have to say that out of all the rifle I have owned this one is most likely the best bang for the buck.

If you have a custom gun built, you might luck out and it will be as good as you had hoped and it might not. Every time I pick up a new rifle it makes me appreciate my Belgium made Brownings but I am getting tired of having to be so carefull with them when it comes to rust, that I have desided to sell a couple and get a Sako stainless laminate in 30-06. I'll keep my Browning in 35 Whelen and have it powder coated.
