Cool except for the 16.5 pounds. Is there an FRT for it already?
I believe the RPD uses full length belts, they're pre-1945 designs. However, now there are mutterings of the RCMP lab saying that only pre-1945 MANUFACTURE belts being accepted, since they're getting a bit worried about the new belt feds coming. Nothing confirmed yet. I'm quite interested in the RPD
I have not heard that rumour/muttering. AFAIK, the rule is still designed 1945 or earlier.
However, I think the RCMP did say that even though the gun is referred to as a RPD-45, they fell it didnt really get going until several years later, so does not qualify.
