I was up the mountain this fine new years day shooting my CSA VZ and the stock became loose. There is a threaded "lock ring", for lack of a better term, what is the trick to fasten this thing tight enough so that my stock tube doesn't come loose again? I don't want to screw the tube in as far as it will go because the AR butt will end up canted and thats a no no...

I suppose tightening just the ring itself is what I want but what tool to use?

Hold the stock, hammer and flat head screw driver or a pair of modified vice grip C-clamps. Mine is as tight as it can go and the stock isn't canted. You just have to hold it while you tighten. Use a rag if you pick the hammer and screw driver so you don't mark up the finish. Mine came loose once. After that it never happened again.

Thanks, that's a good DIY method. It seemed to work. I think I got it solid again.
