Sorting Range Brass ?

I sort both rifle and pistol brass by manufacturers head stamp and caliber. I feel that it gives me better consistency on both mine and my wife's match ammo. Plus I'm retired, I have the time.

I was at the range a month ago with another guy shooting 8x57. He was getting nice groups but every 8 or 10 shots he had a flyer that was ten inches off. When we looked at his empty cases he had 4 Remington cases in with about 35 Winchester brass. Tight case makes higher pressure and moved the POI.
