Wondering if anybody on this forum has a really good way of sorting their fired batches of brass. I am getting into precision 308 and looking for an efficient way to organize my different LOTS of brass.

Electronic scale, weight within one grain gariation, sort into groups after all have been de-primed, cleaned, full length resized, trimed to length, and neck outside neck reamed.

Bout some little clear sterilite containers(recipe card size) $2each. Labelled on lid with sharpie. Easily hold 50rds+ of 308 in each container. Labelled cartridge, headstamp, brass weight.

ie. 350 Rem Mag, R-P Brass, 220.1-220.8grs. Keep lots separated (even just labelled ziplocs) at the range and dump empties back with their same size friends at home.

Electronic scale is your route to speeding this up. Used my RCBS beam scale and both my 350 brass and 7-08 brass cross a 5 grain boundary requiring a lot of re-sorting once the scale was reset. Up and down a grain or two or 7 10ths for every measurement gets tedious. Electronic...put it on the scale, read the scale, sorted!
