This is one of the K98k's I was able to pick up at this years SOS in Louisville Kentucky. It was a walk in and I owe a huge thanks to my good friends Chris, Steve, and Mike for making it possible for me to add it to my letter block collection. Andrew, you did nothing.
Pretty standard early byf 44 but totally untouched and all original. It hadn't been taken apart in years until we inspected it on the hotel room. It even has it's original hood and rod in it. Milled take down discs, FN bolt, and a somewhat unusual for MO "f" marked recoil lug made by H. Karl Heise Machinenbau.
Definitely one of my more special K98k's. It's a reminder of an awesome trip and time spent with good friends.
