Looking to feed my Drozd. It comes with .177 steel bb's, but it has a rifled barrel, and I don't want to ruin it.

I was wondering where I could find some, and if shot comes in .177 would it be sized consistently enough for use without jamming?

Lower Mainland area would be best, but I would roam.

Thanks!

If your gun was designed to fire steel bb's (which it is), I wouldn't worry about it. All the bb's I've ever seen have a copper coating on them with is designed to act much like a bullet's jacket.

The Drozd is NOT designed to shoot steel BBs. You can order Gamo Perfect Rounds from D&L Airguns in the lower mainland. They are a bit expensive. I have a few tins of them, if you want to, you can PM me.
BB shot is not consistant enough for a Drozd.

Yup. What he said!

You can buy a new barrel if you feel the need. It'll cost you a lot less to do that, than to pay what lead round shot is worth just to spray it with the Drozd.

BB shot is undersized so that it fits in the bore diameter.

If you had sprung for an Anschutz, ther would be cause for concern, but you won't do any damage to the Drozd.

Hmmm, good points all!
Thanks for the input.

I wouldn't mind finding the longer barrel to replace the shorter one eventually. Anyone know who will ship one up here?

D&L airgun in langley will have everything you need, they sell the Drozd as well as Gamo lead .177 lead balls.

Give John a call.
