Does anyone know a source for 25-20 WCF in Canada? I am only looking for 50-100 rounds but I can not find it anywhere.

A second choice would be brass only as I can probably source the bullets.

Thanks.

I know the price will be high but once I have the brass I can reload. I don't plan to shoot it a whole bunch anyways. It is for a 1913 Winchester lever action rifle so it will not see a lot of use.

I think the ammo is obsolete.
I scored a few boxes here but it doesn't come up very often.
Have you got dies? You can get the components.
I got brass from either Bullet Barn , Rusty Wood or Ellwod Epps - can't remember which.

Just did a quick search and found nothing...:(

I read somewhere that there has not been any rifles chambered in 25-20 for almost 70 years so I think obsolete is absolutely the correct term. I am still surprised that the ammo is so rare as it was a pretty common caliber in its day.

It looks like Wolverine has the dies and Bullet Barn has the bullets. The brass is going to be the problem.

I guess I will just keep my eyes open at gun shows and on the EE and wait it out. Winter is almost here anyways so I can afford to wait a bit. :)

I had an add on the EE for some i was offered new boxes of it remington stuff for 80-90$a box. But ended up buying 200 reloads to pull apart for bullets, powder and primed cases for 100$.

Ive also bought a few older boxes of winX and imperial from a guy on cgn at 20$ a box

You can also use 32-20 brass and run them through your dies with a good wax lube and not lose very many at all. You can buy them pretty cheap from rustywood

I shoot them in a single shot Lee Metford i rebarrel with a win92 barrel

Might be wrong but I am pretty sure my bud necks up 218 bee for his 25-20 brass with good luck
Cheers

25-20 ammo does seem to be pretty much hit or miss these days for sure, at least from what I have experienced in my neck of the woods here in SW Ontario. The last 2 boxes of factory rounds I managed to find were $75.00 a box but that was a few years ago. I have been able to find the odd box at local gunshows on occasion as well but some guys are asking really high prices although the odd bargain can be found.

I have pretty much switched over to reforming 32-20 brass, easy to do and the stuff is everywhere it seems. I recently broke down a sizable lot of 32-20 reloads to get the brass, as a bonus the bullets make really nice plinking rounds for our 303's.

Another bonus for us is the rifle itself, a Husqvarna single shot so no need for the traditional flat point bullets required for tubular magazine fed rifles.

I'm not sure but it would definitely depend on how big a bag it is... :)

Seriously, if you can find it, PM me and perhaps we can work something out. I will be putting an ad in the EE soon.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some at the Brandon gun show in Dec. I think I saw some an older couple had in their sizable ammo selection at one of the Sask gun shows this year. Also the cast boolits website has good discussion on cartridge conversion, 32-20 to 25-20win
