Just wondering if anyone knew a source for 348 cal bullets? Picked up a few boxes of hornady's in Corlanes a few weeks ago but they seem to be pretty scarce.

thanks in advance

I cast for mine. 210 grain LBT. The chamber is a bit short, so that's about the heaviest I can go without protruding too gar into the case.

How many bullets do you need? Hundreds? Or just enough to fire off a few rounds just to say you were able?

Was looking for some Barnes originals if I could find some, I have a few hundred hornady's, just like to try something a little heavier. Like to use this rifle for elk next year

The Browning copy of the Model 71 seems to have a short neck. You might not be able to load much heavier than the 200 grainers you've got. I don't know about the original Winchester Model 71's as to how long of a throat they have.

I don't have any Barnses Originals, but I think I have some TSX's or some such.

Pm me if you're interested in something like that, and I'll go have a look in my stash 'o' stuff and see what I have.

Shouldn't make any difference, from the cannilure to the front of the bullet is the same for both bullets. The heavier bullets are longer behind the cannilure.
OP, my local store has both 220 and 250 grain Barns Originals. PM me if you want the info.
